age connects about local

“I urge you to keep your support local. One of the reasons it's so rewarding for people to help the communities around them is that the results are so visible and significant. There's something special about knowing that your time and donation has made a difference that you can actually see. The work of Age Connects, supporting lonely and vulnerable older people, is at risk from funding reductions. Please get in touch to understand how your support can make an almighty difference to small local charity such as ours”.

'Our Charity Ambassador'

Ryan is a local businessman and dedicated ambassador for Age Connects Cardiff and the Vale. In 2024, he undertook an extraordinary feat of endurance: a 90-mile run from Llanidloes to Cardiff in memory of his beloved father. Driven by his passion for making a difference, Ryan’s journey honoured his dad and raised over £9,000 to support older adults in our community.

Ryan’s commitment to Age Connects Cardiff and the Vale exceeds his incredible fundraising efforts. He recently shared his story at the charity’s 50th anniversary fundraising lunch, inspiring attendees with his dedication, courage, and hope for a stronger community. He also spoke of his exciting plans for future fundraising activities and how he hopes to encourage others to join him in his support for our vital local charity work. Through his tireless work and dedication, Ryan embodies the charity’s mission to make ageing a positive experience for everyone in Cardiff and the Vale.
